We are two expat professionals originally from Sweden. We have lived, worked and studied in many countries since 1984; in North America, Asia and Europe. We speak English, Swedish, German, Swiss German, French and Mandarin. Since a number of years we are happy to have Switzerland as our home country. Our years of living and working in different cultures have given us a unique experience within everything you can imagine including working life, raising children and adjusting to new environments. A transfer to a new country has tremendous possibilities and can be a lifelong experience when it is done the right way. We are grateful to have had the opportunities with our families. Starting Moving Matters is our way of giving back and using our experiences to help other families and individuals make their relocation to Switzerland a great experience.

Ann Secher (right)

Ann left Sweden 1984 and has since then lived in the US, Canada, Japan, Sweden and Switzerland. Her working experience includes marketing, information, accounting and HR. She is married and has three school children. Ann has lived in Switzerland since 2000.

Karin Ranstrand (left)

After leaving Sweden in 1984, Karin has lived in the US, UK, China, Czech Republic, Malaysia and Switzerland and worked in marketing, sales and consulting. She is married and has two school children. Karin lived in Switzerland 1985-1996 and returned to Zurich 2004.
